Ingredients
- 100 g Halloum
- 0.5 tbsp Honey
- 0.5 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 0.25 tsp Chilli flake
- 0.5 tsp Thyme
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 piece Avocado, ripe
- 0.5 cup Arugula
- 0.5 piece Tomato, thinly sliced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 piece Ciabatta bread
Instructions

Cut Puck Halloumi Cheese into 3-cm slices.

In a bowl, mix the honey, lemon juice, chili flakes, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Add the cheese to the marinade and set aside for 5 minutes.

Cut the ciabatta bread open and toast it until it is slightly crispy and golden.

In a non-stick pan over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and sear the halloumi cheese until it is golden on both sides; this will take about 2 minutes. Add the remaining marinade back over the cheese in the pan, remove from heat, and set aside.

Mash the avocado and spread it evenly over one side of the bread. Season with salt and pepper. Add some arugula and tomato slices over the avocado.

Place the grilled halloumi over the veggies and close the other part of the bread over it. Cut the sandwich in half, serve, and enjoy!
